We've already learned how to change decimals to fractions. Now we'll learn how to convert decimal numbers to percents.

First, remember that a percent tells about hundredths. We can write any fraction as a percent if it has a denominator (bottom number) of 100. For example, we write 5% as 5 hundredths: . Five hundredths can also be written as a decimal: .05.

2.25 =

Remember, is equivalent to the mixed fraction 2.

2.25 = 225%

.65 = 65%

Remember, the value of a decimal number doesn't change even if we convert it to a fraction or a percent.
